The status of COVID-19 is rapidly evolving. That being said pest control during COVID-19 is essential to protecting public health. During a human crisis such as COVID-19, arthropod and vertebrate pests do not decrease.

In fact, they could turn into more serious problems. As we navigate through spring and into summertime mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, termites, ants,

and other stinging insects will be prevalent.

Physical & Social Distancing

We also understand that physical and social distancing of at least 6ft is paramount during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the pest management industry, we already practice physical distancing when applying pesticides. This is to ensure you, your family, customers and other parties present are protected from drifting pesticides.

Thankfully, due to the nature of our profession, members in the pest management field are generally healthy.  It is true that most healthy people infected with the virus will have mild symptoms, but this is the danger:

You may be asymptomatic for COVID-19 and unknowingly transmit it to others.

We are taking COVID-19 seriously. Risk increases with exposure. HillTex Pest control is minimizing exposure to COVID-19 by wearing appropriate

Personal Protection Equipment.

We are familiar with using PPE for pesticides, rodent, and vector control work. 

Limiting services to outside when possible. 

Many of our services allow us to treat pests from the perimeter of your home or business. This means we do not need to make any personal contact with our customers. In fact, most problems start from pests that come in from outside, including those that endanger food safety, eldercare and other health-related facilities.

Pests that can be treated from the exterior include:

• Ticks & Fleas

• Cockroaches

• Termites

Interior Pest Control during COVID-19

In some cases, we will need to treat the interior of your property. We will continue to maintain a physical distance of at least 6 feet from each other. However, this practice is already widely observed for inside services in order for us to concentrate on providing the best and safest service.

We provide no contact, all electronic services which include an "On the Way" text message.  This will allow us to inform you of our intended arrival so that you can be mindful of social-distancing before we arrive on property.
